Over 250 people attend Camden Winterfest 2010!

For the past sixteen years the Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association has been the lead organization for the Shingle Creek Clean-up in our community. We are fortunate to have the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, and Lind-Bohanon Neighborhood Association as partners on our efforts. This green family tradition brings in families from as far away as Chanhassen and Osseo! Come and spend a morning cleaning up the banks of the Shingle Creek, meet new neighbors and start your own family tradition at the creek! Registration and clean-up from 9-11 and 11-12 we have pizza, refreshments, and educational activities back at our starting point at Creekview Park 5001 Humboldt Ave N!

Mark your calendars for April 17th, 2010! And we look forward to starting a family tradition with you this year!

4th Annual Tour de Camden Saturday July 24th, 2010

Shingle Creek and Lind-Bohanon Neighborhood Associations are co-hosting a “Tour de Camden” bike ride on Saturday, July 24th, 9am-Noon. Our “Tour de Camden” is designed for all ages and is not intended to be a race but rather it is a fun leisurely bike tour through all seven neighborhoods in Camden. Refreshments will be served at the end of the “Tour”. For more information contact SCNA at 763-561-1616 or scna@stribmail.com

The volunteer board of the Shingle Creek Neighborhood Association meets once a month, on the second Tuesday of the month at Creekview park, 6:30pm, to talk about what's going on in the neighborhood from crime and safety issues, home foreclosures, to planning events, or talking about topics at the city or county that effect homeowners.

All meetings are free and open to the public. Any Shingle Creek resident can become a board member.

We have several short and long-term  goals of ways to better the neighborhood through events supporting youth and ongoing promotion of our neighborhood.

Why not get involved today? Contact us at scna@stribmail.com to find out how to begin!
