James Pinkett, Program Coordinator, Camden Youth Engagement Project - James began working for YouthCARE/Camp Sunrise in the summer of 2004 as a Head Counselor and continued working through the school year doing outreach and leadership development as a Program Assistant through 2006. He returned to Camp Sunrise in the summer of 2008 to be the Junior Counselor Crew Leader, developing the counseling skills of 8 youth determined to be the next leaders of camp. In 2011 James has rejoined the YouthCARE team to coordinate the Camden Youth Engagement Project. He is excited to work with youth from Minneapolis’ Camden area supporting them as they run neighborhood programs designed to build leadership in the youth of the Camden Community.

Shaina Abraham, Program Director, YouthLEAD Program - Shaina began working at YouthCARE in the fall of 2006. Previous to working with YouthCARE, she spent most of the last ten years working with youth in urban and camp settings. Shaina recently obtained a masters degree in Youth Development Leadership from the University of Minnesota.
